Stockholm Challenge Award: Italian Schools amongst the Finalists

Eight Italian projects are amongst the 145 finalists of the prestigious international award for the development of new technologies. The 2008 edition of the Stockholm Challenge Award has 6 categories: Culture, Economic Development, Education, Environment, Health and Public Administration.

 
Two of these projects were awarded the Special President of the Republic Award at the Global Junior Challenge 2007 reserved for projects presented by Italian schools. These are Maths to Play presented by the Liceo Classico E. Duni of Matera and Living in Europe: highlands and lowlands presented by the Istituto Ada Negri of Lodi Vecchio.
 

The Stockholm Challenge Award takes place in Stockholm (Sweden) from May 19-22, 2008. The finalist projects have been invited to attend the awards ceremony that will take place at the Stockholm City Hall, where the Noble Prizes are assigned.
