EWB Energy Work Bike for a Social Power Station

EWB is a finalist project of the Global Junior Challenge 2012 which takes shape from the “Bologna Motor Show”in 2009: it is a bicycle that produces energy . This idea was proposed to the classes of specialization in electrical engineering of the Alessandrini- Marino Institute in Teramo, Italy. The students worked with enthusiasm to the project by collecting the necessary materials from scrap dealers and flea markets . The system was completed with the donation of the DC motor by some companies of the territory. The goal was to multiply the bicycles and create a Social Power Station to give energy to the city riding bikes. The system was used by the town of Teramo to light the Christmas tree with the cycling of the citizens .
