2012, the sixth edition of the Global Junior Challenge.
Among the finalists there was also the physics laboratory that some guys arranged of the Luciano Manara high school in Rome, with the aim of recovering and upgrading parts of old equipments to build new machines with which to do experiments in physics laboratory. In this way, the students, led by their teachers, transformed old materials into new objects of everyday use : for example scales that measure the Lorentz force, or tools to verify the principle of the energy conservation. In this way, students have taken an active part in the learning process, having fun and touching the discipline with their hands .
