Sisal Presents an Award to the Istituto Von Neumann

Finalist at the fourth edition of the international Global Junior Challenge competition and winner of the President of the Republic Award reserved for Italian schools, the A Robot to Study – A Robot to Play Project, designed by the Istituto Superiore per l’Informatica Von Neumann, also received the Special Sisal Prize on April 2nd. This is valuable recognition to a team that is preparing for two new challenges: the RomeCup2008 in July and the RobCup2008 in China.
With its project the Istituto Von Neumann proves how robotics can be successfully integrated in school programmes not only to learn how to design and program robots, but also as a method for teaching reasoning and experimentation. Sisal, which is particularly attentive to all that happens in the gaming world, has presented an award to the work of a school that moulds creativity, fun and innovation.
