Il progetto ha voluto avvicinare gli studenti al mondo delle STEM  partendo da un’indagine condotta insieme sui colori delle emozioni racchiuse nell’arcobaleno abbiamo esplorato il fenomeno della luce e delle sue molteplici sfumature che solo un vero scienziato sa cogliere. Questo progetto è stato per tutti noi un entusiasmante apprendimento responsabile e creativo. Tutti insieme abbiamo compreso i valori della pace, della tolleranza, della libertà e dell’uguaglianza.

Il fulcro del nostro progetto è stato l’arcobaleno in quanto esso fa parte di quelle realtà vicine anche ad alunni delle prime classi della scuola primaria. Abbiamo più volte messo gli studenti di fronte al problema di come nasce l’arcobaleno, del perchè dei suoi colori, del perché della sua forma… Abbiamo chiesto agli studenti di indagare raccogliendo tutte le informazioni possibili proprio come farebbe uno scienziato, un matematico, un medico e abbiamo lasciato che questi dati raccolti fossero poi rielaborati attraverso l’uso delle TIC. Tenendo conto della giovane età dei nostri alunni abbiamo curato anche l’aspetto emozionale, dando loro piena libertà di dar vita alla loro creatività senza timore di sbagliare, perché solo chi è libero di sperimentare può sviluppare significative abilità di pensiero. E posso dire con orgoglio che ci siamo riusciti grazie all’impegno attivo di tutti gli studenti, che con grande entusiasmo sono diventati i protagonisti del loro apprendimento. Gli studenti, attraverso il nostro costante accompagnamento verso un apprendimento di tipo esperienziale, hanno sviluppato un efficace pensiero critico che, attraverso costanti gruppi di lavoro e di discussione, ha favorito lo sviluppo di preziose competenze socio-emotive nel campo comunicativo e collaborativo, facendo emergere il pensiero analitico e creativo di ciascuno di loro. Ringrazio di cuore la nostra Coordinatrice didattica Ins. Ursini Loredana che ha riconosciuto la validità e ha facilitato fin dal primo progetto la didattica eTwinning nella nostra scuola. Ringrazio, inoltre, l'Assessore alla Pubblica Istruzione del Comune di Ercolano, Dott.ssa Claudia Improta che con grande interesse segue ed incoraggia gli alunni che crescono nelle loro competenze didattiche attraverso i progetti eTwinning.

Attraverso la tematica del nostro progetto in piena coordinazione con tutti i partner abbiamo motivato gli studenti a scoprire la bellezza delle discipline STEM, incoraggiandoli all’analisi e all’indagine del fenomeno dell’arcobaleno. Ho potuto constatare con gioia l’interesse anche delle alunne che si sono da subito mostrate molto più attive e creative rispetto ai compagni di classe. Tutto il nostro team ha curato nei minimi dettagli i vari step del progetto guidando passo dopo passo gli studenti nella ricerca delle informazioni, nell’indagine dei fenomeni della luce, nella rielaborazione di tutti i dati raccolti al fine di giungere alla risoluzione dei problemi e alla comprensione del fenomeno. Il progetto ha favorito una maggiore innovazione della didattica e l’accrescimento delle competenze degli studenti attraverso nuove metodologie di apprendimento come l’e-learnig, il team work, il problem solving, il learning by doing, che attraverso esperienze di confronto e condivisione hanno accresciuto la partecipazione degli studenti e portato le classi ad un livello comunicativo molto più elevato. Inoltre, l’uso delle nuove tecnologie ha prodotto un valore aggiunto al processo di insegnamento/apprendimento, contribuendo a cambiare non solo le attività proposte agli alunni e le metodologie per realizzarle, ma anche l’organizzazione dello spazio e della didattica in generale, trasformando le docenti in ricercatrici del sapere insieme agli studenti.

Potete visitare il nostro progetto come visitatori inserendo queste credenziali di accesso dopo aver cliccato sul seguente link: https://twinspace.etwinning.net/ Username: global.challenge Password: benvenuti A conclusione della maggior parte delle attività progettuali previste posso affermare che lo scopo di sensibilizzare l’interesse degli studenti verso le materie STEM è stato ampiamente raggiunto come mostra con chiarezza il Twinspace. La forte motivazione e l’entusiasmo che ha caratterizzato tutte le docenti è secondo me uno dei risultati migliori di questo progetto. Inoltre, il lavorare un intero anno scolastico sul tema specifico dell’arcobaleno in ambiente STEM ci ha permesso di poter costantemente mostrare a tutti attraverso incontri con le famiglie, pubblicazione su youtube, esposizione dei lavori negli spazi della scuola, i risultati che man mano si sono raggiunti. Altro risultato decisamente di forte impatto emozionale e cognitivo è dato dallo sviluppo da parte di tutti gli studenti impegnati nel progetto di significative abilità di pensiero critico e creativo che ha reso gli studenti protagonisti del loro apprendimento attivo nell’arco di tutto il progetto. La collaborazione fra le scuole partner del progetto, le insegnanti e tutti gli studenti è ben visibile nel twinspace, che mostra con chiarezza che insegnanti e studenti sono diventati da subito un unico team impegnato in un apprendimento collaborativo ed amichevole. Gli studenti sono stati anche contagiati dall’entusiasmo dell’Insegnante Francesca Borrelli della Scuola “A. Maestri” di Parma” che a Natale è venuta nella nostra Scuola per realizzare insieme con un fantastico pupazzo di neve.

Il progetto ha favorito una maggiore innovazione della didattica e l’accrescimento delle competenze degli studenti attraverso nuove metodologie di apprendimento come l’e-learnig, il team work, il problem solving, il learning by doing, che attraverso esperienze di confronto e condivisione hanno accresciuto la partecipazione degli studenti e portato le classi ad un livello comunicativo molto più elevato. Inoltre, l’uso delle nuove tecnologie ha prodotto un valore aggiunto al processo di insegnamento/apprendimento, contribuendo a cambiare non solo le attività proposte agli alunni e le metodologie per realizzarle, ma anche l’organizzazione dello spazio e della didattica in generale, trasformando le docenti in ricercatrici del sapere insieme agli studenti.

Perfect - EdMondo Fab Coding Scratch è un progetto che si propone di utilizzare risorse gratuite quali Scratch for Second Life ed edMondo, un mondo virtuale 3D online, in cui è possibile fare didattica immersiva, il tutto in modalità laboratoriale.
Il coding, così pensato, può essere implementato per creare giochi, simulazioni, ma anche per realizzare collaborazioni a distanza tra scuole.

Il progetto ha avuto come partners attivi una classe della Serbia che non aveva mai utilizzato i mondi virtuali e attraverso l videoconferenze prima tra insegnanti e poi anche tra studenti ha reso possibile un intenso scambio culturale.

Short description

Perfect - edMondo Fab Scratch Coding is a project that aims to use free resources such as Scratch for Second Life and edMondo, an online 3D virtual world, where you can make teaching immersive, all in workshop mode.
The coding, so thought, can be implemented to create games, simulations, but also to achieve remote collaborations between schools.

L'idea di attivare il progetto è venuta a me in ambiente etwinning, ho cercato partners nell'apposito forum e ho avanzato la mia proposta sulla base dell'eserienza maturata in edmondo.

Obiettivi

Aiutare gli studenti rafforzare le competenze informatiche,  STEM (Science/Geography, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) con l’ausilio delle tecnologie informatiche.
Utilizzare vari tipi di ambienti per sviluppare il pensiero computazionale, quello divergente, lo spirito critico e realizzare attività di problem solving, cooperative learning, learning by doing, utilizzare la metodologia CLIL. 

Aims

Help students strengthen skills, STEM (Science / Geography, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with the aid of computer technology.
Use various types of environments to develop computational thinking, what divergent, critical spirit and implement problem solving, cooperative learning, learning by doing, using the CLIL methodology.

Procedura di lavoro 

Le lezioni saranno svolte in varie modalità e su diverse piattaforme, in parte in presenza e in parte in online in EdMondo. 
Collaborazione, cooperazione, condivisione di conoscenze, competenze e contenuti saranno alla base delle attività proposte. Il progetto verrà documentato in itinere sulla piattaforma etwinning.net all’interno del Twinspace.

Working procedures

 

The lessons will be conducted in various ways and on different platforms, partly in the presence and in part in online Edmondo.
Collaboration, cooperation, sharing of knowledge, skills and content will be the basis of the proposed activities.
The project will be documented in progress on etwinning.net platform within the TwinSpace.

Risultati attesi Familiarizzare con l’ambiente: sapersi muovere e teletrasportarsi, utilizzare gli strumenti di comunicazione presenti, personalizzare l’avatar. Acquisire le tecniche fondamentali di building: rezzare oggetti, modificarli, applicare texture, creare link-set, importare oggetti e personalizzarli. Acquisire le conoscenze necessarie per realizzare degli script di base utilizzando Scratch for Second Life per animare oggetti, fornire: dati, oggetti e informazioni. Creare luoghi di incontro virtuali per la condivisione di conoscenza, attraverso la possibilità di rendere fruibili materiali didattici per gli studenti e per tutti i visitatori della land. Realizzare attività didattiche ludiche per proporre quesiti e problemi a carattere logico-matematico e algoritmico. Utilizzare gli spazi virtuali disponibili per esporre elaborati multimediali anche a carattere interdisciplinare realizzati dalle classi in mostre temporanee o permanenti. Realizzare attività di orientamento con gli studenti delle terze classi della scuola secondaria di primo grado, sotto la guida degli studenti sperimentatori per sperimentare un approccio creativo allo studio dell’informatica. Realizzare dei percorsi didattici in Edmondo di condivisione di dati relativi alla propria scuola, al proprio territorio e alle proprie tradizioni. Pubblicazione di contenuti inerenti le discipline coinvolte nel progetto (informatica, matematica, diritto, geografia). I risultati sono visibili attraverso i lavori realizzati in edmondo e documentati sul sito attraverso codici, foto e video.

Delle 7 classi che inizialmente avevano aderito al progetto, solo 3 hanno lavorato assiduamente: le mie due classi III e IV A Istituto tecnico economico Sistemi Informativi aziendali di Rogliano (Cs) e la classe Електротехничка школа "Никола Тесла", Панчево / Pančevo Serbia della prof.ssa Nada Stojičević, i soggetti più attivi sono stati circa 65. Per collaborare è stata usata la vidoconferenza (google hangout), la piattaforma etwinning (forum e email), la chat in edMondo.

Uniche barriere: gli orari scolastici rigidi che non hanno consentito agli studenti di incontrarsi virtualmente quanto avrebbero voluto; talvolta la connessione a Internet troppo lenta ha creato problemi di accesso in edmondo; troppi impegni scolastici, troppe attività da portare avanti nella scuola hanno rallentato il ritmo.
Future plans and wish list (max. 750 characters): 
Il progetto sarà ripresentato a settembre all'unità nazionale etwinning. Sarebbe fantastico se avessimo dei fondi per far viaggiare e incontrare i ragazzi. Non hanno mai fatto viaggi all'estero con la scuola (nè le mie classi, nè i partners serbi), quindi io e la collega speriamo tanto di poter realizzare questo sogno. WE, THE PARTNERS MET THANKS TO ETWINNING PARTNER FINDING FORUMS. FIRST WE HAD MANY DISCUSSIONS ON ETWINNING PLATFORM , SOCIAL MEDIA FACEBOOK AND E-MAILS ABOUT THE PROJECT SUBJECT, THEN WE FORMED A CLOSED GROUP WITH TEAMS FROM GREECE, TURKEY, SPAIN , ROMANIA, PORTUGAL AND POLAND. THE COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATION BETWEEN THE PARTNERS HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED VERY WELL FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. STUDENTS AND TEACHERS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN BY DOING AND PARTICIPATING IN THEIR COOPERATIVE LEARNING PROCESS. WE ARE A GREAT PROJECT GROUP WITH TEAMS FROM GREECE, TURKEY, SPAIN , ROMANIA, PORTUGAL AND POLAND. THE COMMUNICATION AND COOPERATION BETWEEN THE PARTNERS HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED VERY WELL FROM THE VERY BEGINNING. The project idea and the aim had origin from the will of teachers of different grade of school to make work that unites all types of school (pre-primary, primary and low secondary school). As our Low Secondary School is a school music-oriented and our students are individually guided to learn to play 4 musical instruments, music will be the pivot of its various activities. The most relevant general result is the discovery of the possibility to pass all the subject knowledge related to the project topic using Music and English language and to share and compare everything with the foreign partners using English language and the new technologies. In particular we highlight: Refinement of the teachers capability to collaborate and to co-operate and interact with the other school operators and with other school methodologies. In particular, the improvement of their competences in Music and in the usage of the ICT and of English language. Motivation for the children that show interest for all the musical activities and discover the possibility to learn and achieve the subject objectives working around Music. Working at the project they also improve their abilities in English language and in the usage of the ICT, through which they compare their discoveries and interests with the partners. The criteria We used to evaluate the results is the observation of the improvement of children’s motivation in all the provided project activities and the consequent achieved abilities .

Background Information

Barriers and Solutions (max. 1000 characters): 
In fact we did not have particular difficulties, the project was easily implemented in schools and most of the partners have actively participated in various initiatives proposed. The only drawback: the lack of classroom technology equipment suitable for a more active and direct collaboration and communication between pupils from different schools.
Future plans and wish list (max. 750 characters): 
For the future we would like to continue with this project or activate a similar one and program and implement joint activities without charge due to technological deficiencies. We Need some small grant to equip the classroom tablet for pupils. Organizing physical exchanges between partner students and teachers would be, however, the main ambition.

Il progetto si basa sulla teoria de TPR( Total Phisical Response), cioè sull’influenza dei comandi dell’insegnante sulle azioni corporee dei bambini.

L’idea del progetto è nata ad opera di due colleghe Bulgare Reneta Reicheva - Darina Koleva (36 SOU "Maksim Gorky", Sofia, Bulgaria) ed è stata con noi, Gina Antonietta Mango – Mariagela Placanico ICS "Don Bosco" di Francavilla in Sinni- Scuola Primaria "Antonio Ciancia", Francavilla in Sinni (PZ),condivisa ed è stata sviluppata in collaborazione in totale da 20 scuole di differenti nazionalità : bulgara, turca, romena, spagnola, tedesca, italiana. I docenti hanno collaborato nella fase di progettazione , hanno deciso insieme le attività da svolgere , gli argomenti da trattare e gli strumenti da utilizzare mediante un sondaggio online e, di comune accordo, hanno realizzato il tutto. Gli alunni hanno collaborato nella produzione di manufatti e cartoline augurali che sono stati oggetto di scambio non solo virtuale sul twinspace ma anche reale via posta. Ovviamente la collaborazione si è esplicata in modo diverso a seconda dei partner : con alcuni e stata più debole e indiretta, con altri molto forte e diretta. Scopo principale del progetto è stato promuovere il raggiungimento di abilità e conoscenze nelle varie discipline attraverso l’utilizzo di attività di TPR e la valorizzazione della loro intelligenza corporeo -cinestetica. Gli alunni sono stati invitare a mimare canti e filastrocche, a compiere esercizi corporei finalizzati all’apprendimento della letto-scrittura,a produrre disegni e manufatti correlati alle festività ed alle varie attività scolastiche. Lo scambio dei lavori prodotti sul twinspace il confronto con i partner ha permesso di focalizzare l’attenzione anche sull’uso funzionale della Lingua Inglese e delle TIC prerogative necessarie per diventare attivi cittadini del domani in una società cui il pensiero critico e creativo e le competenze digitali sono cruciali.

Scopo principale del progetto è stato promuovere il raggiungimento di abilità e conoscenze nelle varie discipline attraverso l’utilizzo di attività di TPR e la valorizzazione della loro intelligenza corporeo -cinestetica.
Gli obiettivi specifici perseguiti sono stati:
Sviluppare le competenze in Inglese e nelle TIC,
Promuovere il pensiero critico e creativo.
Tutte le attività sono risultate strettamente integrate nel curricolo delle varie discipline della classe: Arte, Italiano, Inglese, Musica, Informatica, Storia, Geografia, Scienze , Matematica. Le attività di progetto sono state un mezzo per completare e consolidare quanto compreso nelle attività curricolari sempre multidisciplinari e interdisciplinari. Lavorando sul twinspace e comunicando con i partner, attraverso l’utilizzo della Lingua Inglese e delle TIC sono state veicolate conoscenze relativamente ai saluti, alle stagioni , ai colori, ai numeri, alle festività ed alle tradizioni,.… Gli alunni hanno sempre partecipato attivamente e producendo i lavori da condividere hanno migliorato le loro abilità in tutte le discipline. Docenti e alunni hanno fatto largo uso della tecnologia. Sono stati utilizzati per la documentazione delle attività e la raccolta e sistemazione dei materiali prodotti: Scanner, word, Windows Movie Maker, audio registratore digitale, fotocamera e videocamera; per la ricerca di informazioni e immagini : Google; per la socializzazione: Kizoa, Photopeach, You Tube,… ; per la collaborazione: twinspace Padlet.

Il progetto ha sviluppato: - L’intelligenza corporeo-cinestetica degli scolari; Le competenze linguistiche in Inglese dei bambini; - le competenze artistiche dei giovani studenti capacità di disegnare e dipingere per associazione, come risposta di azione; le competenze nelle TIC e la loro conoscenza sulle modalità d’ uso delle stesse. Il Criterio usato per la valutazione dei risultati è stata l’osservazione della crescita della motivazione dei bambini in tutte le attività proposte e delle conseguenti abilità raggiunte.

In realtà non abbiamo avuto particolari difficoltà,il progetto è stato facilmente implementato in ambito scolastico e la maggior parte dei partner ha partecipato attivamente alle varie iniziative proposte. Unico neo: la mancanza in classe di strumentazioni tecnologie adatte ad una più attiva e diretta collaborazione e comunicazione fra alunni di scuole diverse.
Future plans and wish list (max. 750 characters): 
Per il futuro ci piacerebbe poter programmare delle sessioni di chat e almeno videoconferenze a cadenza mensile senza penalizzazioni dovute a carenze tecnologiche. Servirebbe qualche piccolo finanziamento per attrezzare l’aula di tablet per gli alunni. L’ambizione maggiore sarebbe, però, organizzare scambi fisici fra alunni e insegnanti partner.

Children of all the schools prepare them to become responsible and open-minded citizens in Europe.

Project Summary (max. 2000 characters): 

The project idea has been conceived in collaboration with the partner school teacher and developed by the following schools: Gina Antonietta Mango -Filomena Donato: ICS "Don Bosco" di Francavilla in Sinni - Plesso Primaria "A. Ciancia", Francavilla in Sinni (PZ), Italia; Katarzyna Ernest-Małecka: Szkoła Podstawowa nr 11 im. Pabla Nerudy w Toruniu, Toruń, Polonia.
It was based on the theme “School of the Future” with the following objectives: Promoting consciousness of being European citizens and pupils-working together in the design of the school of the future-comparing pleasant school activities-improving Language competences–improving the usage of ICT. In a most wider educational contest, where they worked together to achieve common objectives, children of all the schools collaborated in the exchanges of experiences , information and ideas about their activities in a wide and without borders school that day after day, in a pleasant way, prepare them to become responsible and open-minded citizens in Europe. The comparison with foreign pupils and teachers, the usage of English language and of ICT to communicate and to make multimedia productions using the Twinspace and other tools available on web to share them were creative and innovative elements.

Objectives and Innovative Aspects

The purpose of the project was to guide the children to share information about their own school and to outline aspect and peculiarities of their school dream in the future collaborating with their pair in the other countries .
Objectives fo the project were:
Promoting consciousness of being European citizens and pupils - working together in the design of the school of the future - comparing pleasant school activities – improving Language competences – improving the usage of ICT.
The collaboration with the partners was intense and constant in all the phases of the project thanks to the usage of emails and of the twinspace. Students and teachers of all the schools worked together, both in a complementary that parallel way. Teachers collaborated in the planning of the modules and in the realization of the expected activities. Students from the two countries produced common works to share ideas and information about their own schools. In many particular cases , they exchanged each other letters and cards by snail mail. Finally everything has been exchanged and compared through the publishing on the twinspace of videos , images and little texts using different software and web tools.
In particular we took photos and produced drawings about all activities carried out, then we scanned and used them with voices and music to create videos using Windows Movie Maker that finally we uploaded on You tube and embed in the twinspace blog or web content tool. In detail the tools we used are : hardware( PC, scanner, Digital Audio Recorder, camera, Data traveler ),different software ( Paint, PDF, PowerPoint, Widows Movie Maker to make videos with video, photos and drawings), Publication on web ( You Tube, Tripwow, Animoto, Kizoa, Glogster…), TwinSpace ( blogs, web content, file archive, image gallery, wiki on which we create a space for common activities).

The most relevant general result is the discovery of the possibility for teachers and students to collaborate with other schools improving knowledge and competences. In particular we highlight: Refinement of the teacher’s class team’s capability to collaborate, co-operate and interact each other and with the other school operators and different school methodologies and organizations and the improvement of their competences in the usage of the ICT and English Language. Definitely positive results with the children: they outlined their dream school in Europe, described its aspects and its peculiarities, expressed their ideas and their expectations, shared and compared everything with the partners, collaborated with them using English Languages and the new technologies. Otherwise, Without any doubt the collaboration with the class partner enriched and improved the project whether for the most accurate organization or for the more variety of the activities and tools. The criteria We used to evaluate the results is the observation of the improvement of children’s motivation in all the provided project activities and the consequent achieved abilities .

Sviluppare le intelligenze multiple nella Scuola Primaria attraverso la Lingua Inglese e le TIC.

L’idea del progetto è nata ad opera di due colleghe Bulgare Reneta Reicheva - Darina Koleva (36 SOU "Maksim Gorky", Sofia, Bulgaria) ed è stata con noi, Gina Antonietta Mango – Mariagela Placanico ICS "Don Bosco" di Francavilla in Sinni- Scuola Primaria "Antonio Ciancia", Francavilla in Sinni (PZ),Italia; Pietro Cantisani- ICS "Don Bosco" di Francavilla in Sinni - Plesso Secondaria di I Grado, Francavilla in Sinni (PZ), Italia;) condivisa ed è stata sviluppata in collaborazione, in totale, da oltre 20 scuole di differenti nazionalità. I docenti hanno collaborato nella fase di progettazione , hanno deciso insieme le attività da svolgere e di comune accordo le hanno realizzate. Gli alunni hanno collaborato nella realizzazione di un indagine attraverso la compilazione online di schede per la raccolta di dati e la realizzazione di un gioco su Halloween sottoposto ai partner! Scopo principale del progetto è stato stimolare gli alunni ad esprimere tutte le loro potenzialità mettendo in atto tutte le loro attitudini e capacità. Hanno lavorato attivando le diverse intelligenze in loro possesso: linguistica, visuale, ritmica musicale, corporea, matematica, naturalistica, interpersonale, intrapersonale. Hanno lavorato in piccoli e grandi gruppi, ma hanno anche operato ricerche personali e indipendenti che hanno poi condiviso con i compagni e attraverso il twinspace con i partner. Il lavoro è risultato così vario, eclettico, creativo ricco di spunti creativi e innovativi. Gli alunni hanno prodotto lavori di varia natura utilizzando le varie intelligenze in posso, perciò gli obiettivi del progetto sembrano raggiunti.

Objectives and Innovative Aspects

Scopo principale del progetto è stato stimolare gli alunni ad esprimere tutte le loro potenzialità mettendo in atto tutte le loro attitudini e capacità.
Obiettivi specifici sono stati:
Sviluppare le intelligenze multiple: linguistica, visuale, ritmica musicale, corporea, matematica, naturalistica, interpersonale, intrapersonale
Consolidare le competenze in Lingua Inglese;
Sviluppare competenze nell’uso delle TIC.

Tutte le attività sono risultate strettamente integrate nel curricolo delle varie discipline della classe: arte, Italiano, Inglese, Musica, Educazione Fisica. Obiettivo principale è stato mettere in luce le potenzialità di ciascuno in riferimento alle attitudini personali e far cogliere l’aspetto funzionale delle varie discipline, compresa la Lingua Inglese usata come mezzo per comunicare con i partner. I ragazzi hanno lavorato nell’ambito delle varie discipline producendo, a gruppi o singolarmente, lavori vari che hanno poi sistemato in presentazioni multimediali e condiviso sul twinspace. Docenti e alunni hanno fatto largo uso della tecnologia. Sono stati utilizzati per la documentazione delle attività e la raccolta e sistemazione dei materiali prodotti: Scanner, word, Powerpoint, Windows Movie Maker, audio registratore digitale, fotocamera e videocamera; per la ricerca di informazioni e immagini : Google; per la socializzazione: Kizoa, Photopeach, You Tube,… ; per la collaborazione: twinspace, Wiki, pupils corner.

Gli alunni hanno messo in luce tutte le loro potenzialità mediante la realizzazione di attività di vario genere ed hanno colto il valore funzionale delle varie discipline finalizzate allo scambio fra i partner. Il progetto si è inoltre rivelato un valido percorso CLIL poiché i vari argomenti trattati e le varie attività condivise sono stati veicolati attraverso l’utilizzo della Lingua Inglese. Il Criterio usato per la valutazione dei risultati è stata l’osservazione della crescita della motivazione dei bambini in tutte le attività proposte e delle conseguenti abilità raggiunte.

n realtà non abbiamo avuto particolari difficoltà,il progetto è stato facilmente implementato in ambito scolastico e la maggior parte dei partner ha partecipato attivamente alle varie iniziative proposte. Unico neo: la mancanza in classe di strumentazioni tecnologie adatte ad una più attiva e diretta collaborazione e comunicazione fra alunni di scuole diverse.
Future plans and wish list (max. 750 characters): 
Per il futuro ci piacerebbe poter programmare delle sessioni di chat e almeno videoconferenze a cadenza mensile senza penalizzazioni dovute a carenze tecnologiche. Servirebbe qualche piccolo finanziamento per attrezzare l’aula di tablet per gli alunni. L’ambizione maggiore sarebbe, però, organizzare scambi fisici fra alunni e insegnanti partner.

Bambini di diversi paesi europei imparano insieme parole, correlate ad attività scolastiche e a festività, in Inglese e nelle lingue delle scuole coinvolte.

Project Summary (max. 2000 characters): 

L’idea del progetto è scaturita dalla presenza nella nostra classe di bambini che parlano o sentono parlare in casa altre lingue : il rumeno, l’ungherese e il polacco.
Gli alunni si sono scambiati termini relativi alle varie festività e ai vari momenti dell’anno in Inglese e nelle varie lingue di appartenenza. Sono stati realizzati sul twinspace : piccoli dizionari scritti mediante tabelle completate in collaborazione con i partner; piccoli dizionari illustrati e sonori ( produzioni multimediali realizzate con i loro disegni e con le loro voci); Giochi nelle varie lingue realizzati con strumenti online e socializzati per il consolidamento di termini particolarmente rappresentativi di alcuni argomenti trattati. Sul Twinspace sono , inoltre, presenti le registrazioni di videoconferenze realizzate su Skype che hanno permesso agli alunni di comunicare direttamente con i partner utilizzando la Lingua Inglese e di scambiarsi termini nelle lingue di appartenenza. Hanno partecipato alla realizzazione del progetto le seguenti scuole:

I docenti hanno collaborato nella fase di progettazione , hanno deciso insieme le attività da svolgere , gli argomenti da trattare e gli strumenti da utilizzare mediante un sondaggio online e, di comune accordo, hanno realizzato il tutto. Insieme è stato anche effettuata la valutazione del progetto. Gli alunni hanno collaborato nel completamento dei dizionari relativi ai vari argomenti sul twinspace e durante le videoconferenze.. Ovviamente la collaborazione si è esplicata in modo diverso a seconda dei partner : con alcuni e stata più debole e indiretta, con altri molto forte e diretta.

Children of all the schools exchange experiences and information, through photos, drawings, videos and other tools, about their school context, themselves and the various common situations they live at school ;show each other and compare their way to be citizens in Europe and pick up differences and similarities.

The project idea has been conceived in collaboration with the partner school teacher and developed by the following schools: Gina Antonietta Mango -Filomena Donato: ICS "Don Bosco" di Francavilla in Sinni - Plesso Primaria "A. Ciancia", Francavilla in Sinni (PZ), Italia; Katarzyna Ernest-Małecka - Jarosława Pyrzyk - Tamara Żuchowska: Szkoła Podstawowa nr 11 im. Pabla Nerudy w Toruniu, Toruń, Polonia.The purpose of the project is to guide the children to the gradual consciousness of being little European citizens and school with the same needs, rights and duties of their pair in the other countries.Children of all the schools exchange experiences and information, through photos, drawings, videos and other tools, about their school context, themselves and the various common situations they live at school. They show each other and compare their way to be citizens in Europe and pick up differences and similarities .All that in a most wider educational contest where they work together to achieve correct habits of behaviour. The most innovative and creative elements of the project are the comparison with foreign pupils and teachers, the usage of English language and of ICT to communicate and to make multimedia productions and of the Twinspace and other tools available on web to share them.The collaboration with the colleague in the partner school is intense and constant in all the phases of the project thanks to the usage of emails and of the twinspace. We collaborate in the planning of the modules and in the realization of the expected activities and often the collaboration goes over the project activities and also provide exchanges of letters and didactic materials. In many particular cases ,students exchange each other letters, cards and other to be completed by snail mail. Students and teachers of all the schools work together on the twinspace ,both in a complementary that parallel way, and exchanged and compared what they make through the publishing on the twinspace of videos , images and little texts.

Objectives and Innovative Aspects

The project promotes the achievement of important objectives in order to European citizenship: promoting the consciousness of being European citizens - Comparing differences and similarities – improving Language competences – improving the usage of ICT.As the project was developed in an etwinning school team ,all the activities , absolutely integrated in the subject curriculum, were planned and made in collaboration with the school colleague referring everything to the lessons we teach. We chose together the topics, the activities, the tools and worked together in the classroom with the children. The involved school subjects are; Citizenship and Constitution/social Studies, Italian, English, Geography, Art, Informatics.
The project is organized in different but complementary modules and the phases of our works are the followings:
Exchange of information about their own school context – Exchange of information about themselves – comparison of different contexts and information and highlighting of differences and similarities- exchange of different way to solve similar situations in the different schools . We take photos and produce drawings about all activities carried out, then we scan and used them with voices and music to create videos using Windows Movie Maker that finally we uploaded on You tube and embed in the twinspace blog or web content tool. In detail the tools we used are : hardware( PC, IWB, scanner, Digital Audio Recorder, camera, Data traveler ),different software (PDF, PowerPoint, Widows Movie Maker to make videos video with photos and drawings), Publication on web ( You Tube, Tripwow Animoto…), TwinSpace ( blogs, forum, web content, file archive, image gallery, wiki on which we create a space for common activities).

Results

Describe the results achieved by your project How do you measure (parameters) these. (max. 2000 characters): 
The most relevant general result is the discovery of the possibility for teachers and students to collaborate with other schools improving knowledge and competences. In particular we highlight:  Refinement of the teacher’s class team’s capability to collaborate, co-operate and interact each other and with the other school operators and different school methodologies and organizations and the improvement of their competences in the usage of the ICT and English Language.  Definitely positive results with the children: they feel themselves and all the partners as European citizens and can share each other feelings, sensations, experiences and information and compare them picking up differences and similarities through the usage of the English Language and of the new technologies. Otherwise, Without any doubt the collaboration with the class partner enriched and improved the project whether for the most accurate organization or for the more variety of the activities and tools.

For the future we would like to continue with this project or activate a similar one and program and implement joint activities without charge due to technological deficiencies. We Need some small grant to equip the classroom with tablet for pupils. Organizing physical exchanges between partner students and teachers would be, however, the main ambition.

All types of school collaborate all together , through Music, around the same topic.

The project idea and the aim had origin from the will of teachers of different grade of school to make work that unites all types of school (pre-primary, primary and low secondary school). As our Low Secondary School is a school music-oriented and our students are individually guided to learn to play 4 musical instruments, music will be the pivot of its various activities. Kilkenny, Irlanda.)In its development some small melodies, inclusive of chord for the accompaniment , will be produced by the pupils. On these “shared notes” each partner will create rhymes, poems, games, sequences of words and numbers. The music , produced in digital format (midi or audio), may be also used as a background for animations of stories and tales.. Through all that, children are guided to achieve different abilities in various primary school subjects , the improvement of their taste and of their abilities in Music and to the functional usage of English Language and new technologies. The most innovative and creative elements of the project are the comparison with foreign pupils and teachers, the usage of ICT to communicate, as well as the usage of the twinspace .

Objectives and Innovative Aspects

The works are always integrated in the curriculum of the involved subjects. The main subject objectives are:
Cooperating with pupils and teachers of schools of all levels and from different European Countries ( Social studies /Citizenship and Constitution) - Producing music and singing songs ( Music)-Producing texts about the various disciplines on the provided music (Italian, English, Maths, Science)-Producing drawings and other art works (Art) -Creating multimedia productions to share on web and on the twinspace (Informatics) -Comparing activities and ways of working and highlighting similarities and differences ( Social studies / Citizenship and Constitution). Our Secondary school teacher produces music and arranged our partners productions using Makemusic Finale o Sibelius, Garageband. The other partners take photos and produce drawings about all our activities carried out, then they scan and use them with voices and music to create videos, using Windows Movie Maker finally uploaded on You tube and embedded in the twinspace blog or web content tool.In detail the tools we use are : hardware( PC, scanner, Digital Audio Recorder, camera,videocamera, Data traveller, Interactive Whiteboard ),different software (Makemusic Finale o Sibelius, Garageband ,PowerPoint, Widows Movie Maker, Paint, Word), Internet (You Tube, Vimeo, Spicynodes, Tripwow, Animoto), TwinSpace.The purpose of the project is to guide teachers and children to the gradual and conscious discovery of the utility of the collaboration among different levels of schools for the achievement of common objectives. Starting from that main point, we work promoting subjects knowledge through activities linked on the musical theme and promoting and consolidating through it, in order to the age and the peculiarities of the children, knowledge and abilities related to the various levels of schools.

Results

Describe the results achieved by your project How do you measure (parameters) these. (max. 2000 characters): 
The most relevant general result is the discovery of the possibility to pass all the subject knowledge related to the project topic using Music and English language and to share and compare everything with the foreign partners using English language and the new technologies. In particular we highlight:  Refinement of the teachers capability to collaborate and to co-operate and interact with the other school operators and with other school methodologies. In particular, the improvement of their competences in Music and in the usage of the ICT and of English language. Motivation for the children that show interest for all the musical activities and discover the possibility to learn and achieve the subject objectives working around Music. Working at the project they also improve their abilities in English language and in the usage of the ICT, through which they compare their discoveries and interests with the partners. The criteria We used to evaluate the results is the observation of the improvement of children’s motivation in all the provided project activities and the consequent achieved abilities .
